Spring Break!
Last week we went down to Daytona Beach in Florida for spring break, and it was awesome! We had decided pretty late where we wanted to go so we were so scared to not find a hotel since everything looked booked already. Finally our savior Brendan found a bundle deal with tickets and a hotel for us (just 5 tickets left) so we were super lucky. So off we went to Daytona Beach baby!
Here's a nice view from the plane ride over there, florida here we come!

So since we had gotten the hotel in a bundle deal AND pretty last minute, we were scared that it would turn out to be some kind of shit hole, but it was actually crazy swag:
the bedroom (there's a hilarious "after" picture that hermione has where you can see the difference between the girls' and the guys' beds :P)

Hallway with a nice bathroom (didn't take pics of it though)

Leading to the bad-ass kitchen (not in the pic) and living room with the extra bed

Also had to take a picture of us chilling in the hallway, it felt wrong not having some expensive whiskey and a cigar:

Unfortunately, since our flight was delayed we didn't really get to Florida until it was too late to really do anything, so we ended up just derping in the hotel with some pizza the first night (Spring Break! Whooho-...what?)
We did however wake up this view, beach as far as the eye can see:

We were lucky enough to have a bunch of stores right across the road from us as well (including the liquor store, win!)

So basically we were just having an awesome time. Get up, go eat breakfast at IHOP:

And then just go to the beach, drink all day and meat new ppl until the evening, then go back to the hotel and get changed, eat some dinner and then hit up a preparty and one of the clubs we had bought VIP passes for to get in free. It was an awesome time :D
Some people got burned the first day there btw... appearently they didn't realize the sun is stronger near the equator? :P

There are more pics on FB, I'm not that much of a pic person so there are some more there. The last night we partied all night cuz we had to leave for our flight at 5 am, so we decided there was no point in going to bed. So we just partied all night until we had to leave. Which was a kick-ass idea at the time.

Damn straight it was a "Ruff" party:

We were regretting our decision right around our transfer in Atlanta when we were tired as shit, hung over and just wanted to die :P. It didn't get better when we got back to Baltimore. Picture getting on a plane from sunny spring break daytona beach all amped up and partying, then getting off tired and hungover to a rainy, cold and grey Baltimore. It was depressing. So now we're back to the real life after what was definately one of the funnest weeks ever. If you guys ever have a chance to head down to either south beach or daytona beach for the spring break month, DO IT!
FUN
First of all, i'm sorry that the descriptions of all the monuments didn't show up on the last entry, and I'm also sorry that I'm too lazy to retype them :P Anyway, last weekend we went to see FUN that was playing at our school. It was pretty awesome, if you don't know who they are, they're the guys that made this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv6dMFF_yts&ob=av3e . Look I even have a picture! (I didn't take it xD)

I'm back baby!
Yes that's right, after about a month I'm finally blogging again. Sorry I haven't gotten to it earlier but first my computer was broken, then I had a lot of school stuff to do and then I realized that I had kind of a lot to write about so I was just lazy :D. But nevertheless, here goes.
DC
A couple weeks back we went to Washington DC to check out the sites. I limped around DC for like 5-6 hours checking out the major tourist attractions. I'll just put up pics of the most important ones:

We also found the people doing Occupy DC:

After a long day of walking around we ended the evening with a hard-earned dinner at Hooter's, whoop hoop

TOGA PARTY!
Later that weekend we went to a good ol' College toga party :D totally forgot to take pics of course but it was a fun experience :D I had no idea how to tie a toga but thankfully my roommate Susan had done it plenty of times before (which she made obvious with the question "Wait what, you've never tied a toga before? How on earth have you never tied a toga before?") so she helped me and Brendan get our Roman on.
Guitar, FINALLY
So I finally bought that new semi acoustic steel string guitar that I've been meaning to buy for a while. A good thing too cuz I was jonesing to play so bad I had the shakes. Here's a picture of the beauty, an Epiphone PR-5E:

FINALLY OFF THE BOOT
So I'm finally basically able to walk around without the mega boot. Sometimes my foot will still hurt at the end of the day and I have to make sure to ice it twice a day. If it get's really bad I have to wear the boot for maybe a day afterwards. Still, progress at least, wohooo!
SCHOOL STUFF
So yea like I said, I've had a lot of school stuff to do, on top of the usual weekly homework we've had a bunch of assignments and I even had my first midterm, in the fluid-mechanics-from-hell class. Luckily the midterm was basically just different homework problems, he hadn't even changed the numbers xD Score!
SPRING BREAK, WOHOOO
So we finally got off our asses and booked the spring break trip (which is in less than two weeks :O). Daytona Beach, Florida here we come baby! whoop whoop!
Broken Computer
Sorry I haven't updated in a good while but my computer broke like about week ago. I'm getting it looked at but I think it'll take a while until I get it back and fix it, maybe early next week. I'll give you a quick run down of what's been going on:
Last weekend we went to a Beer Olympics Tryout party, it was a lot of fun. Me and Brendan smashed ppl at beerpong, we were undefeated :D. Superbowl was that weekend too, we had a little superbowl party and watched the game, I'm not gonna get into too much detail cuz those of you who gave a crap watched the game and the rest don't :P
I finally got my walking boot on, so since Monday I've been putting more and more weight on it and hopefully by the end of the week I won't need crutches anymore.
Ok, back to the homework (which never ends), take it easy guys.
It's getting hot in here
It's 14 'C outside and sunny. Now don't get me wrong, that's just awesome in theory. The problem occurs when it was like 6 degrees this morning and I put on a hoody to not be cold on my way to school at 8 am, and suddendly I then have to make my way from the Tech buidling to my apartment (which is about 600-700 m) in a hoody and like a 7kg backpack with crutches when it's 14 degrees and sunny outside. This results in me being disgustingly sweaty when I finally get there. This is incredibly charming to read about I know, but srsly, it's starting to get on my nerves :P Because it happens several times a day everytime it's anywhere near to warm and I have to go somewhere.
Man I'm looking forward to that boot right now...

Foot Update
So as you know I fell on my bad foot on Thursday and went to an orthopedist today. They gave it another X-ray and it turns out that I now have a fracture in my foot, not a stress fracture. If the Swedish doctors got it wrong or if it became a fracture when I fell remains a mystery. Anyway, they put me in a "soft cast"

and told me to completely stay off it for another week. After that week I get to put on this gorgeous "walking boot"

and slowly start putting weight on it in order to get back to walking again. So looks like I'm still going to be a cripple for a while longer :D Also, I haven't checked it out yet, but there is a good chance I won't be ablle to get my pants off due to the cast and will end up having to cut my pants off :P Whoop whoop!

The weekend
This weekend I've "gone back to the freshman days". Partied with ppl on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Friday I was at a party with the other exchange students and we needed a deck of cards to play some drinking games with, so we went across the hall and found a group of cool ppl that were also having a party so we invited them over and played all sorts of drinking games with them (although maybe some people had played enough already ;)). Appearently two of the know my roommates also which is cool. On Saturday we got invited to their party and had a blast. At like midnight we ordered two 22inch pizzas to the party :D they were huge, prolly gonna put up some pics of em later, or at least on FB. On sunday we pretty much just chilled out, went to the commons for some "welcome week" thing that had free food and had a pretty quiet night.
Now I actually have to start studying for the classes :O Who would have guessed there was actually work to be done also? :D

Hurt My Foot Again =/
It was raining earlier today and my left crutch accidently slipped indoors on a small puddle of water. As a reflex I of course stepped on left foot not to fall, which was NOT a good idea since it was not yet a happy camper. So after a lot of being in pain, Kathy drove me to the university health center to get it looked at. The thing you do NOT want to hear when a doctor takes off the bandages on your foot is "OOoo..ew.." :D. Appearently she didn't like that it was swollen, red AND warm. I got a referral from her and I'm going to go see a an orthopedist on Monday. Let's hope I didn't screw anything up!
P.S I'm new to the whole blogging thing, and to the whole taking pictures thing but I promise I'll start adding some pics to these posts too :D

Classes start
I just realized that I should maybe write in English so that everyone can read my crispy fresh blogg. On thursday classes started, I'm taking "Introduction Engineering Design with CAD", "Fluid Mechanics", "Cryptology", "Critical Thinking" and "History and Theory of Games". So far all the classes have seemed interesting, so that's great. I'm just very surprised over the fact that each class gives you weekly homework :S It feels like middleschool all over again :D And the homework is ofc about the the books that you HAVE to buy that cost like ~80-100 dollars each :O.
Later during during the evening I stuck around for a party with my roommates. It was really fun and I got to meet a lot of my roommate's friends which was awesome. We also have an old N64 with Super Smash Bros! So I got to show off my mad SSB skills, but these guys are really good, especially Susan's (one of my rommates) boyfriend Alex who schooled my ass.

"Americans use the term "friend" very generously. You may feel like someone is being very nice to you and that you've just made a great new friend but then they never call you and invite you to that party that you talked about. Also if someone says "you should drop by and we can get some coffee sometime" it doesn't neccessarily mean that it's an open invitation. It's always best to call before hand and make sure that it's an apporirate time." Socially awkward penguin anyone? :D
So do you like to party and get drunk?" XD

USA Resan!
